[Milsurplus] workshop

In some pictures of city streets in Amsterdam Holland, I saw three and
four story row houses where every one had a hoisting beam and every
floor had really big windows. I recently remedied a similar problem at
ground level. The people who had the house before me had turned the
garage into a den. I tore out the false walls and drop ceiling, to
return it to being a shop, and carried stuff in through the house.
Because the original garage door opening had not been altered but
covered with a poorly constructed plug/wall, I recently opened it back
up and had a proper replacement garage door installed. The difference
and convenience is amazing. Everything that sits inside the door is on
casters and can be moved aside quickly, and is also short enough to
allow the door to roll above it. I do have a detached garage, and one
bay of it serves for storage.
