[Milsurplus] Cyber threats prompt return of radio for ship navigation

In addition to loran, existing Non Directional Beacons should be
preserved and dormant ones revived. ELORAN was SUPPOSED to be backwards
compatable with existing LORAN C receivers. I have a hand held portable,
and within reason, it would work indoors. Tests of ELORAN in city
centers have been very encouraging for navigation and time signals. With
autonomous vehicles under development, using a combination of ELORAN,
GPS, and inertial navigation cross checking each other would give far
better position reliabilty than GPS alone. Putting all of the tech eggs
in one basket has been a foolish mistake.
