[Milsurplus] ?'s on AB-719/VRC antenna base

 I have a couple of these antenna bases; a quck websearch has not yielded the correct TM that would include info on this unit; would it be a separate TM or possibly one of the VRC radio series TMs??
these bases are clean unit (no coupling unit came with it); the assembly includes the approximately 3' fiberglass support tube but no actual antenna element; my questions are:I am assuming the metal antenna element slides into the support tube and THREADS (??) into the base?what would the thread type be?any specs or descriptions of the unit available?this unit would be a vehicle mounted type?  what vehicles might have used this base and which radios?
