I'll second that. Four years ago I had a Murphy B40D shipped to NC from
London via Virgin, who apparently uses or then used DHL to handle the
freight. They were very professional, friendly, handled all the hassle for
me with customs and even took care of some fee associated with it. I picked
the receiver up at the Forward Air terminal, signed for it, loaded it into
the truck, drove home.

At that time they were having some financial issues here in the US but I
think they've worked that all out as I've been seeing their vans on the
road again from time to time.

Other than that, USPS Priority International works pretty well. Not cheap,
but well below UPS and FedWrex. Shipped a double-boxed R-388 to the UK for
$200. They do have a size limit, which the R-388 was just under.
