If awards were given for the most equipment built and never used, it surely should be given to the BC-645 / ABA.  It was never fielded as far as I know.  Every example I have ever seen was NOS and most were still mounted to the shipping board.  What do you think?  Perhaps 5000 built, possibily more?Jim

IMHO, the R-808 is a perfect 
example of waste in Government.

Why was it created when the 
R-392 already existed ? Further 
proof of lunacy comes when one 
looks at how many were made and 
how many contracts were let to 
build them.

The SRR-11/12/13 weigh 69 lbs each.
