Nick:
I think that was used for the VRC-19 radio set made by Motorola. It was a
non-tatical set used for local comms (MP's etc;) with either low band or
high band TX/RX combo in it. Ran from a great bloody dynomotor at either
6/12/24 depending on the PS plug ins,.about 30 watt out and 2 channel.
Had one in the back of a 1965 Rambler (!) in the 60's for KMYC radio in
California. RX on the local S.O. and TX on 161.67 RPU channel.
Worked well but dimmed the headlights at 30 MPH when transmitting.
The Test Set is a "militarized" version of the normal Test Set for the "Twin
V" radios by Motorola..............
Hope that helps,
Chuck McClurg
