Hutch, according to  data at the listverv.com site -  that  is  for the 
number of subscribers.
 
more info - All  lists (unless otherwise agreed to) are billed in yearly 
increments. The prices  are quoted per-month below for your convenience. The 
maximum message size is 64k  per message, which is roughly 64,000 text 
characters. The message size can be  raised at an additional cost, request a quote 
if you need to allow larger  messages

Is that subscribers, or emails per hour : 500 - 999  ?  Just curious.
If the numeric range is subscribers  that  ~approx 36 cents per year or 
less, I don't know about anyone else, I could  donate through paypal 
$1.00 a year, or 3 postage stamps what ever is  greater ?-}
