Hi,
There are lots of ways to get it wrong. To err is human. To really make
a mess requires the use of a computer <evil grin>.
Somebody already mentioned that fuses are to prevent destruction of your
home/shop or to prevent your death (or both at once). Their comment was
just not quite that clear and graphic! Compared to those rather
important details, replacement transformers are darned awful cheap! Put
a fuse in the primary and move on.
