[Milsurplus] To Paint or Not to Paint, That is the Question

I have nothing against black wrinkle but I think it's overdone. I actually 
prefer the grey
TCS, RBM, RAL, RBB, and so on.  Some things do just look better, maybe more 
mysterioso,
in black, like the RAX and BC-312 and 348. But for many sets I have seen 
both ways, like
TCS, RBM, RAL, RBC, I like the grey better. Think about the nice blue-grey 
of RCAF; the
grey or sand yellow of Wehrmacht, the grey  or green of Italian equipment. 
These latter
examples would NOT look better in black.
I saw an almost light green-grey RBC, I know, that's hard to describe, but 
it was original
Navy color. This was one of the equipment free for the grabbing when Rolley 
Michaelis's
estate was offered to his fellow club members. I had my mind on going back 
for the RBC,
but I carried off a HRO-60 and by the time I returned, the RBC was gone.
