  I have had good luck with spray choke and carburetor cleaner. It has a 
blend of solvents that seem to attack a wide variety of gums and cruds. 
Be careful, it is very flammable and attacks most plastics but doesn't 
seem to affect bakelite and brown fibre board. Wear gloves if you can, 
don't take a chance on the solvent carrying something nasty through your 
skin. Put the leaky condensor and the rags in a plastic bag, seal them 
and dispose.


After the radio  work is done, and no driving will be done........
