That hardly seems fair, Bruce. I have used a reserve
(thought not very often anymore),
as has been done in auctions for centuries.
It's known from the beginning that the item has a reserve and
no one is forced to bid in an auction if they don't like the terms.
Punishing a seller after willingly participating in his
otherwise satisfactory sale seems harsh.

I try hard to be level and "above board" on my transactions,
though I am human and am subject to human screw-ups.
I'm sure there's someone reading this who has a grudge right now.
I will try to make it right if they will talk to me and
let me know what happened. I'm old. I forget things.

I respectfully and kindly request that anyone who feels this way
not bid on anything I might offer with a reserve,
since your good fellowship is worth more to me
than a sale. Unless the kids need to go to the doctor ;-)
