May I suggest that folks consider the use of e-mail filters to strip off 
the mail of posters with different views for a while and then get back 
to our usual high level of civility and tolerance?  It saddens me to see 
normally rational people devolve into criticism and irritation over 
beliefs that don't affect anyone's health, wealth or essential living 
conditions.  Every e-mail client that I know of has such filters as an 
option - they are very useful for more than uninteresting threads or 
spammers.  I often filter out someone's posts with whom I disagree for a 
while, then delete the filter after a period of consideration.  No one 
is the wiser.  It's amazing how something so simple can lower your blood 
pressure and make life much more pleasant for everyone...:-)
