[Milsurplus] How I Use an LM

Apparently, you are unaware of metaphores.

The point, which you choose to ignore, is that the supply of unhacked mil
gear is limited. Endangered species reproduce, so there is some
replenishment. The same is not true for antique radios.

I don't "hate hams". I do believe the overwhelming majority of mods
reflect a complete lack of understanding of the gear and/or electronics.
Every ARFC-5 or SCR-274 transmitter with a SO-259 is eloquent proof of
that. Few if any "conversions" make any sense whatsoever, and many degrade
equipment performance.

The kind of thing that does impress me is a transatlantic QSO between
absolutely unmodified WW II gear.

Furthermore, I believe that the vast majority of hams have made absolutely
no contribution to the practice or theory of electronics. They are simply
hackers. There are a few exceptions, but they are exceptions, not the
rule.

As to grandiose plans, we have certainly heard a lot about them, but not
from me.
