You can't fight a non-war (korea) with an un-enemy (VC) with an empty gun.
The only people who should;d be allowed in combat are the cooks and 
politicians.
They are both the common enemy of the military man.

World War 2 was the last war our politicians let us win.  And THAT I find 
utterly despicable.

I was born in 1953, and during my entire lifetime the United States has 
never been allowed to fight a major conflict the way it should be fought: to 
total victory.
