Gee, that sounds like a lot of hams I know.

Actually I think a lot of the local engineering workshops had a hand in 
making mods. Documentation wasn't their strong point.

It is documented that the WS19 MKII was used in Tomahawk (Curtis P40) & 
Lysander aircraft when doing army cooperation duties.
Good thing they didn't need the amplifier.
