Just another reminder the WWII re-enacting groups are thrilled to have knowledgeable and enthusiastic people engaging in the hobby. As most are not into radio as "we" are, they are very happy to integrate into their displays, shows, etc. to add an additional dimension. It can be a lot of fun, if exhausting (3 full days in this example!) too. The link below (Breck's website) is to the Reading, PA. WWII Weekend from 2004, where we did a 'radio maintenance depot' for the 'air base'. Our hut was filled the entire weekend with guests who wanted to know everything about everything. AND wanted to have their pictures taken holding a BC-611 or wearing a BC-1000. General MacArthur was even kind enough to pay a visit!
