Well, people do it all the time :) It helps them to interperet the world. Anyway, if airshow attendees don't mind "Confederate Air Force", perhaps corporate sponsors do, because the liburals could boycott them.

 

It would be interesting to know if the people who think the name should have stayed the same also think that the liburals have the right to buy what they want as a form of protest.

 

I think the bottom line is, would people rather the C.A.F. planes fly, or just sit in a museum somewhere.

Was it roque individuals doing the mistreatment, or a matter of policy (like inadequate funding)? I'll admit that I haven't studied the subject. I only watched the PBS documentary.
