Yes.  The "fine print" (not always accurately followed) in the nomenclature 
system says to do it this way, rather than T-47A/ART-13A.  But if the component 
number is changed, it's done the other way, as in T-412/ART-13B.  As another 
example, SG-85C/URM-25D is a component of AN/URM-25J.  You would have to look 
at a progression of all of the AN/URM-25 family in order to understand how it 
came about.
