[Milsurplus] 1N21's and 1N23's

I happen to have a Sierra power meter (military) that looks just like the
Philco version and it uses this type of diode because it works through UHF.
I'm aware of the HP uses you listed.

BTW, if you haven't tried one in a crystal radio you may be pleasantly
surprised.  Being a point contact metal-to-semiconductor junction, the low
threshold of the 1N21 makes for an excellent AM detector for the BCB.
