[Milsurplus] SCR-284 Questons

1- I found an antenna bag for the SCR-284.
I do not have the GN-45 gen. I am wondering if the seat
& legs will play with the GN-35? from the SCR-288 set?
This seat & legs i found are in very good condition.
Unfortunately, no antenna insulator in the kit.

2-This radio is marked stencil painted 
"MFP 10-44". Does this mean it had a major repair at that
time, since the MFP was done in manufacturing? I have
never seen another with MFP lettering on outside, and in
lettering so large, over one inch tall. Marked both front and
back. Also hand painted letters "C2"  (NOT G2). Does this
mean anything to anyone. 
This seems to be a veteran that was actually used, somewhere,
in that war. 

I also had a look inside another 654 and found that the chassis was
stencil painted W7PXB inside in tall letters. Wonder if he feared 
theft?? Inside radio was also a letter from Civil Air Patrol.
