I was surprised to see the reference to Vultee, as just recently i dug
out some Vultee controls, which are now in the back of my vehicle,
prepatory to photographing them for auction. I have 2 foot pedals and
two more pieces, a throttle or mixture control of some kind and a 
propeller control. I think these were out of some kind of trainer. It's
been a long time, but i'm pretty sure i got an SCR-183 radio with the
same bunch, along with cabling; i farmed the actual radios out to a 
friend but retained the electrical cables, against a future project which
never went anywhere. They are "somewhere". I still wonder what 
type aircraft this would have been. -Hue Miller
