OK - '08 field day's history. Whew.

Mike... you're a many facitted guy

Those Mk-III (BC-966) & Mk IV (BC-645) 'radio receivers' have fascinated me

Danged if the 167-187mhz freq-sweeping BC-966 might be considered the 1st
spread spectrum employment ever

Party Line is 450 mhz WE368-tubed Mk IV outstripped mfg. abilities of other
allies. I don't think so, believe Mk III code/sweep system was much harder
to break/fake

Another note is effort to supply 645's dyno (PE-101?) with 20V via 28V
thru a carbon pile regulator. Nifty thinker(s) @ GE.

Don't think 966 dyno/sweep gearbox system needed such regulation
attention. Nifty English thinkers.

BTW, the BC-966 is where all those 7193/2C21 tubes went. The 6J5s
w. plate & grid brought out top caps.
