I don't know the copyright status of the DVD version of
Kraus' "Antenna," but I have a small number of techical
books I purchased while living in the Philippines,
probably legally reprinted there.
These are usually newsprint versions of stateside
texts, apparently authorized by the publishers for RP
distribution. Two of them I could easily locate were
reprinted by Jemma, Inc, and one is marked:
"EXPORT OF THIS BOOK FROM THE PHILIPPINES PUNISHABLE
BY LAW" and
"Reprinted under authority of Presential Decree No. 285, as
amended by P.D. No. 400 & 1203, by: Jemma Inc."
The other is marked "This edition is authorized for sale only
in Philippines" and
""This edition may be sold only in those countries to which it
is consigned by Prentice-Hall International. It is not to be
re-exported and is not for sale in the USA, Mexico or Canada."
With all this written, I'd probably agree the DVD might not
be a legal copy.
