Congrats, Michael -

Sorry to hear of the Frankensurgery, good news is - you have the
radio. They are a heavy chunk to move in one piece anyhow, so getting
familiar will be easier, at least. If and when the time comes for an
original case and mount, they do show up online and at 'fests from
time to time, occasionally with one section (rcvr or ps) missing,
needing paint, fairly cheap. Swapping them around is much easier than
moving them intact.

Originally bought as a garage radio (it was just too cool for that),
mine ended up beside the bed, and it took me a while to realize that
20 feet of antenna wasn't really as cool as it sounded. I did still
drill a hole through the bedroom ceiling to allow about 4-5 feet to
continue into the otherwise-unused attic. Ah, the days as a single
guy. I'll miss them. (o:

Like everything else, the honeymoon is the fun part. It's an
interesting little (!) radio. Enjoy getting familiar, then move
forward with the finishing touches. Mine still needs a few bits too!
