Friend has a set and it doesn't sell and doesn't sell hamfest after hamfest.
( Of course. ) There is NO 2M AM out here.
This has me wondering.
Is it "possible" that it could be modified to run on 10M AM?
Don't laff. Didn't i read in one of the old surplus books about converting the
VHF ARC-5 to lower bands?
( I don't know if the 17M qualifies as "collectible".  "Someone" should step up to
the plate, but where is that someone? )
Yes, that eliminates a bunch of multipliers, and the IF is high and broad unless some
additional measures are taken.
Or is it hopeless? What then to do with such a set? -Hue Miller
