Robert and the group,
The AVT-15 transmitters have a built in power supply, with different
power transformers and vibrators for the two primary voltages, the
AVT-112 uses an external power supply (AVA-126), which can be used
on 6, 12 or 24 volts by changing the vibrator. Of course the filament
string in the AVT-112 has to be rewired. The AVT-112 has a little tag
on the front panel that can be changed to show the primary voltage.
The AVR-20 receiver also would need its filament string rewired, but
the front panel was permanently marked at the time of manufacture
with the primary voltage. Which reminds me that I don't think I've
ever seen an AVR-20 with a 24V front panel.
