I have excellent copies of the manuals for the L-5.
The L-5 is "by the book" with either AVR-15/AVT-15,
AVR-20/AVT-112 or, believe it or not, SCR-274N.
They seem to be intended for 6, 12 and 24 volts respectively,
though the manuals do not specifically say that.

The AVT-112 (and AVR-20, IIRC) is jumper-selectable for
6, 12 or 24 volts, as is the power supply (save needing the correct
vibrator).
