Interested in putting a 12 volt mil radio set (GRC-10) in a 6 volt vehicle.
Rather not go through all the trouble to convert the entire vehicle to 12
volt, it’s complete and original and I don’t want to invest hundreds of $$$
in the conversion. Does anyone out there market a converter to change a 6
volt system to 12, that would be suitable for a vehicle installation? If not,
how about an online schematic showing how to make one?
Thanks for any help,

Easy option Mike. Put another 6v battery in series with car 6V supply, that
drives the 12v set.

Then, buy or build a 6v inverter giving 6v out, but floating, use this to
charge the 2nd 6v battery.

cheers, Ben G4BXD.
