[Milsurplus] vehicle 6 volt to 12 volt converter?

Interested in putting a 12 volt mil radio set (GRC-10) in a 6 volt vehicle.
Rather not go through all the trouble to convert the entire vehicle to 12
volt, it's complete and original and I don't want to invest hundreds of $$$
in the conversion.  Does anyone out there market a converter to change a 6
volt system to 12, that would be suitable for a vehicle installation?  If
not, how about an online schematic showing how to make one?
