If someone hasn't suggested this already. Perhaps it
is part of a fire-control computer, either land-based
or naval.

Some radar-controlled, some not, etc. The angle input
and the servo-control are what would suggest this
possibility. An interesting thing to consider and an
area (analog computation) which is all too often
overlooked by those attuned to radios. If this is what
it is, this part is very precious historically!
