Actually, there have been several developments since the 1988 symposium. The
most recent I've seen is a book, "Lightning Strike", written in 2005 by
Donald A. Davis (copy sitting in front of me). Basically, every or just about
every organization around, with the exception of the USAF, now says Barber shot
down the Betty. USAF alone (because of politics) continues to insist on
splitting the kill between Barber and Lanphier (both of whom, along with mission
commander Mitchell, are now deceased).
