We really should do something about all that empty land
at Gettysburg and Shiloh and such.
It would be so much better to moderize those places
and make them better;
put in a few housing developments, a McDonalds or two.
I can hear it now:
"Oh, thank you for your compliment! My roses
grow so well because of all the blood fertilizer
from Packet's Charge... or was it Plunkets?
And my friend Lateasha says her gardenias grow
well because of all the old bone meal in the ground.
It's so much better than those
drab old wheat fields...."
And while we're at it, let's go over to the Normandy
beaches and fill in all those bothersome bomb craters
and knock down those unsightly bunkers. The beach is so much
better without having to dodge all those holes.
And we really should move all those white crosses that are
taking up so much valuable beach-front property!
Think how much better we could make this place.....
And have you seen all that dull, obsolete stuff
at the Airborne museum? We really need to get some
people to work on that old junk so we can make it better.
Paint it pink, maybe, with "My Little Pony" stickers.
That would increase interest for at least half the population.
After all- isn't "making things better"
the only thing that matters??
