[Milsurplus] APG-5 - bring it back alive?

[Unserviceable but Repairable]

This is the 2.5ghz radar for bombing-thru-overcast (BTO - Bachman Turner Over-
drive).

Have a complete RT drum.  But no antenna, pulser, display, docs.  

But do have a never-complete spares can.  First such example I've seen.

Anyway, since in "oven band" could certainly run it in local B-17.
"Certainly" in italics.

Any help out there?  Please

...think I've been told one BTO B-17/B-24 per squadron.  Ref. is ex-PFC
   Bill Johnson, age 82, who was a radio op & wasn't allowed to watch
   radar op in pos'n across aisle.  Bill hated that.

   Bill was same man I'd mentioned who "bombed" Holland w. food after 
   armistice

   Antenna was in fiberglass radome that substituted for chin turret

   Any more APG-5 data, lore, oral tradition out there?
