[Milsurplus] Navy radio

Didn't the Navy use C*** as nomenclature for experimental type equipment.
Altho i'm sure they used a different word than "experimental".
Wasn't there a radar named something CXSJ ?
I seem to recall a 5-meter type superregen radio, quite small, using 2 type
30s or something, that i traded off to August Link ( Radioarchivest on Ebay 
)
something like 25 years ago, and this little radio had a C--- nomenclature 
too.
I cannot recall right now if i had an instruction sheet or not - i know i 
did not
have the schematic, in any case, because i traced and sketched the wiring
before i sent the radio off. -Hue
