[Milsurplus] BROFICON?

I'm not sure how my posting a relevant piece of information brought on such a hostile outburst, but
I'll point out that the Cold War Comms list is not a "splinter" off anything; it's been in existence
since 1999 and has over 900 members. The intention is not to deprive anyone of information or
compete with other groups, but rather to share knowledge on a wide range of topics which receive
little attention elsewhere. Everyone is welcome to join, or to view the publicly-accessible
archives, at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/coldwarcomms .
As regards the subject matter of the two lists, there is very little overlap. The Milsurplus group
deals only with mil electronics but covers all time periods, while the Cold War Comms group only
addresses one era in history, but deals extensively with
non-military equipment (e.g. the Bell System microwave network).
There's really nothing to get upset about; if you think there might be something of interest to you
on the list, all you have to do is join.
Regards,
Albert LaFrance
