I recently came across something for the benefit of those conspiracy freaks 
who still insist on calling the SCR-593 a Gas Receiver and who even at this 
late date, after all of the records declassifications, still maintain that the 
RS-6 and AN/GRR-5 were political payoff contracts.  SB 11-131 is Vehicular Sets 
and Authorized Installations.   AN/GRR-5 is an Auxiliary Receiver, like 
AN/ARR-41 intended for installation with other transmitter-receiver sets.  As late 
as September, 1974, it is still listed for combination installations, mostly 
with AN/VRC-12 variants.
