Hue, that is strange...
Here are a couple of manuals that I compared.
Original Manuals:
Instruction Book for Model TCS-5
Electronic Radio - Television Institute - Omaha, Nebraska
Unites States Marine Corps.
Radio Material School
Undated, with drawing dates August 1941 thru early 1942
84 pages
On page 2 under Receiver Characteristics: The band width is 6 kc at 6db down,
11 kc at 20 db down and 19 kc at 40 db down.
Instruction Book for Model TCS-12
U.S. Navy Department, Bureau of Ships
By Collins Radio Company
Contact Nxsr-LL-36727
Contract Dated 6 Sept. 1943
203 pages
On page 22 under Receiver Characteristics, 1.5.5 Selectivity: 1.5.5.1: The
band is approximately 9 kc at 6db down, 18 kc at 20 db down and 30 kc at 40 db
down.
What is the date on your TCS-5 manual, Hue, and how does it compare with what
is listed in these two manuals?
Regards,
Mark Tombleson
