There are a couple of AN/ARC-8 (BC-348, ART-13A) sets clearly visible, though.  Great movie.  There's also a beat up AN/ARC-8 set visible behind the copilot seat in another great Stewart movie, "Flight of the Phoenix" (but there's also a lone SCR-274-N transmitter setting on the rack...pretty bogus!).

The strangest B-36 must have been the B-36N...designed to carry a nuclear test reactor around as part of early research for nuclear aircraft propulsion.  Wouldn't the public love that now!

Good natured jab follows:  I feel sorry for my manned aircraft SAC force buddies...they just couldn't match the capabilities and threat of the USN's Polaris/Poseidon/Trident SLBM forces!  : - )
