You are correct, The aircraft Curt used as a VIP aircraft was outfitted 
with several KWM-1's.  A requirement to be a member of the crew was that 
you had to be General class ham or better. Remember talking with Curt and 
Butch and the crew for almost an hour when they were on the way to Brussels 
for world fair. Was on a military frequency as the crossed over "Round 
Pond" intersection  and I went 20 meters and picked them up on SSB using a 
20A driving an amplifier and a SX-101A.  On the ham bands they were a real 
laid back bunch but all professional when on military frequencies.  Curt 
and Art Collins were old buddies from way back and that is
how SSB got started in SAC.
