[Milsurplus] shipping gripes

BEWARE:

Any time UPS smashes something, they will claim improper packing and try to 
deny insurance payment.  This includes fhjings which have been foamed in place 
by UPS employees at UPS shipping centers (Not package stores).
The only way to collect from them is not to let them off the hook.  They 
figure that if they deny you long enough, you will finally take your loss and walk 
away.  Too many folks have done this rather than hassle with them and that is 
how they win. Just keep hounding them and write the FTC, your attorney 
general and your local consumer affairs office with copies to UPS.  They will pay 
eventually.
