Dennis,

AN/PRC-16 essentially consists of an RT-70 with the components of the 
MX-898/GR.  Why they didn't assign AN/PRC-xx nomenclature to the RT-66/7/8 variant or 
why they did to the RT-70 one, who knows.  TM 11-288 covers AN/PRC-16.  It's 
been a long time since I looked at it or at the instructions for the mod kit 
but seems like I recall that which cable goes to the generator and which to the 
radio depends upon whether it's the little radio or one of the big ones.  The 
CY-590 is in the middle either way.
