This site unfortunately repeats the U-2 fairytale.

I wonder if anyone still has the nylon RS-6 bag. If so, what's the
approx size, and do the snaps look like they would work for carrying
on a packframe or hooked to combat suspenders?

I also wonder if the RS-6 was maybe used by anti-Castro Cubans
working to the CIA just before the Bay of Pigs invasion. I don't think
the CIA had anything better, at the time, but i don't know for sure. I
think i read or was told, that the character who knows, is set against
any kind of interview. Perhaps there was a no-talk agreement that's
still in effect. Maybe he (or they) will talk before they check out,
maybe not.

I'll mention this again: the 4 RS-6 units fit really well in a metal, mil
surplus, 50 caliber ammo carry case. ( Altho the fit leaves no room
whatsoever for padding. ) I think it's 3 units stacked horizontal
and one vertical. If you don't have the original black plastic pouches,
put the units in food storage bags to prevent scuffing.

Also, have others noticed a failure rate on the first filter capactor, which
is mounted too close to a hot, voltage dropping resistor?
