I have always marveled at the workmanship in the MAW/MAW-1. Anyone know 
anything about Hoffman? Sure produced a fine radio. My notes say Howard 
radio produced some too. Who were they?

Army used TRC-7, which, in portable mode, used the BC-1000 battery. Mine is 
missing its antenna ;-(  Were they all made by Espy? Don't know a thing 
about them. Contract assembly house?

MAY/MAY-1 UHF set came next after the abandonment of VHF for UHF, made by 
Raytheon of all people. Must have had a lull in the missile business cycle. 
Seems they made a few PRC-6 too. Did they make anything else radio wise?
