They went crash during WWII, it might be that they
didn't get any big contracts. The Howard 435A was an
early steel cabinet radio made in '42 with "steel"
tubes, octal bases. The radio is a real good
performer for a $29 radio, well, maybe that was a lot
of money back then. It has a copper plated chassis!
