And just where is Osama and Mullah Omar over 4 years after 9/11? Likely having
sheep kebab in some cave and laughing at Bush. That, along with 2000 + US and
more than 10 times that many Iraqi dead, not to mention the myriad of wounded
and maimed, does not sound much like victory to me. Bush went into Iraq on a
false pretext (WMDs),  screwed it up. and has repeatedly lied about it.

Nor does the massive invasions of our privacy and loss of civil liberties here
as a result of the misnamed Patriot Act.

In fact, the terrorists have WON, because they have provoked an over the top
governmental response which has caused far more damage to our society that they
could ever have caused by the original assault.

Remember Ben Franklin:

"They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve
neither liberty or security"

Sadly, the current government is not big on history.
