Sorry, but actually that's wrong by almost a millennia.  This war didn't 
start after WW-I, but near the end of the 11th Century.  And it wasn't set into 
motion by the French or the British (who barely existed at the time), but by the 
original Mohammed, who wrote how to do it all down in great detail (in the 
Koran).  There have been numerous recent references to it as WW-III, but 
actually it is more correctly WW-0.  The longest running conflict on the planet.
