Hi All,
It is interesting that "The Lawrence" (Lawrence of Arabia) wrote an article
(have it here somewhere) for the London Times in I believe 1921 or 22 in
which he laid out all of the problems that the British were having there.
Just change the dates and few names and Viola, 2005. Amazing, but as been
said many times, those that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat
it. Much of what is going on right now was set into motion by the British
and French after WW 1, and we are still trying to sort it out, a few new
players, but the same problems.
Sorry for the off topic bandwidth, to get back to our radios
I am almost done with the translation from Russian to English of the RPS
receiver manual and schematics, will shortly post it on my sons web site.
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and Healthy and prosperous New Year.

I just bought a copy of The Economist. Cover says "How to deal with
Iraq's insurgents" and it's an article on the political dimension to
the situation in Iraq. But there's also an article on what the Army's
doing at it's Combat Training Center at Ft. Polk, Louisiana. More role-
players dressed in middle-eastern garb and consequence management, for
example. They're training with IED and truck bomb simulators as well as
all the other weapons that the insurgents and terrorists have.
It's pretty interesting reading. There's a decidedly pro-British slant
to it - they don't quite come out and call the Yanks stupid, but close.
I wonder why ? hi
It should only be on the newstands for another day, so snap a copy up
quick if you're interested.
Highly recommended reading - on a weekly basis.
