What Marty found in his book is misleading.
The carrier equipment was the CF-1 and CF-2
which was a Western Electric design.  That equipment
was designed for four-wire connection, (Spiral
Four), or open wire line on telephone poles, and is
not part of AN/TRC-1.  The AN/TRC-1 was designed to
use an FM transmitter and reciever to interconnect
the CF-1 and CF-2 bays when using Spiral Four was
impractical.  Note that the T-14 upper left side
where the Spiral Four connected into the transmitter.
Marty. I have used TRC-1 in field situations, so I
know how it works, no matter what your book says.
Like I said, I have pictures.  Only thing, check
and see if AN/TRC-1 includes anything else besides
the radios and a gasoline engine.
