Little late joining the thread, but what's the expression?

Have one w. a TU-26 on 80.  Has dyno.

It as p/o SCR-245 is at least one reason army armor wound up on FM.

Big 1940/41 SCR-245 production troubles.

Then came Wis. NG's success w. Galvin push button cop 2-ways on 9m.
Eliminated radio op & were push button.

But had tank-track qrn trubs & Ft. Monmouth sed "let's try Link FM
cop radios."

Rest is history but do note FM SCR-508, etc. by WECo/Colonial

   DID  HAVE  PUSH-BUTTONS

  Marty who's whistling "look for the union label"

(FM solved qrn but also the 'capture effect' stopped inter-unit qrm.  FM
 called a big ww2 miracle like maggy, a-bomb, prox-fuse)
