Hmmmmm.... Now that you mention it there was green stuff like you are
describing on the connectors of one of my TCS cables. I figured it was a
grease intended to protect the contacts against corrosion. Reminded me a
little of the green water resistant boat trailer bearing grease (calcium
based?) I use as a rust preventive, just a little brighter green and
softer.
However, the leaking out of the radio story reminds me more of the "stuff"
inside the Command Set receiver capacitors. Does the TCS have anything
like that?? It's been a very long time since I've looked in there....

I had some of this same stuff on the connectors of a TCS xmtr power cable.
It was a greenish thick syrupy/paste smeared on the connector shell and
pins/socket
